Andy Hopper, GOP candidate for Texas House District 64 has signed The Texas Conservative Pledge.

“I am a ‘Texas First’ conservative Republican who believes the words of the Texas Constitution that ‘all political power is inherent in the people, and that all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their benefit.’ And yet, Texas is on the ropes: our home is in the midst of an invasion perpetrated by the federal government. Our right of local self-government is critically impaired by Washington, D.C., and our 87th Texas Legislature has squandered its opportunity to take control of our border, and to protect the rights and liberties of Texans in their hour of need. Texans should decide what is best for Texas, and we desperately need legislators who will defend and preserve our way of life for future generations,” stated Hopper when asked why he signed The Texas Conservative Pledge.

“Andy is a true Texas conservative who has been the driving force of a conservative revolution in Wise County and beyond. We are proud to strongly endorse him to represent Texas House District 64 to replace a weak, non-conservative incumbent and preserve Texas conservative values for his District and all Texans,” said David Roberts, Director of Texans for True Conservatives.

Andy Hopper owns a small farm in Wise County and serves as a Warrant Officer in the Texas State Guard. He has a master’s degree in Computer Science, has taught as an adjunct professor at UNT, and holds a US patent. Andy has worked in the private sector and defense industry as a software engineer for the last twenty-three years and currently owns a software consulting firm. Andy and his wife, Amanda, have homeschooled their three sons and co-founded Wise County Conservatives.

About The Pledge

The Texans for True Conservatives PAC (a Super Pac) was formed to support “real” Texas Constitutional Conservatives who are dedicated to honoring their pledge to true conservative values at the local, state, and federal levels. The TexasCPAC will hold all candidates who pledge to strict adherence to their pledge in their individual voting records, as well as expose candidates who did not “pledge” and who are not likely to uphold our conservative Texas values.
