Conroe, Texas USA – Texas Republican Congressional District 28 Candidate Sandra Whitten has signed the Texas Conservative Pledge put forward by the Texans for True Conservatives.

Congressional District 28 encompasses nine Texas counties stretching on from San Antonio south to Laredo, then to the east to the outskirts of McAllen, including 140 miles of the U.S./Mexico border. Whitten, a native of Laredo, Texas has been an active community leader who is married to Manny Whitten, a border patrol officer. Whitten has witnessed first-hand effect of the Biden border policies on the border patrol and the community.

Democrat incumbent Henry Cuellar, who has represented CD 28 since 2006 has been a recent vocal critic of the Biden administration’s border policies, as he attempts to hold on to a seat in a region that saw four of the nine counties in the district in 2020 swing to Trump. Whitten, who ran against Cuellar won 39% of the vote – but the border situation has deteriorated to a point where many pundits are predicting even more inroads by the GOP into traditionally Democratic, most Hispanic – Texas border counties.

Whitten, who has also pledged to join the Freedom Caucus if elected stated, ““It is a true honor to have the privilege of signing a pledge that all true Texas Patriots who are truly committed to ‘We The People’ should sign freely without any reservation. We know that our constitution and our country must be protected and Texas is the one who will lead this fight. I look forward to representing the heart and spirit of Texas in every decision I make. This pledge will proudly be displayed in my office.”

“Sandra is a tough, conservative Texas woman who pulls no punches. She knows how to fight and is dedicated to the heritage and values that make Texas and Texans unique. She would be a very strong advocate for her Texas constituents in D.C. and we fully support her and her campaign”, said David Roberts, Director.
