Key issues in the pledge address key Texas conservative values that include ending property and franchise taxes, term limits, religious freedom, historical monument protection, healthcare, and voter ID, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cState Representative Cain continues to be a rock-solid conservative voice in the Texas Legislature. We are proud to add his commitment to the growing number of state and federal elected officeholders committed to this important pledge. We look forward to Representative Cain\u2019s continued leadership in preserving Texas conservative values,\u201d commented Texas CPAC founder David Thomas Roberts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding his commitment to the Pledge, Representative Cain stated, \u201cMy constituents sent me to Austin to represent their conservative values, and I continue to do that. I signed the Texas Conservative Pledge because my stance on these issues is important to the constituents I represent\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Texans for True Conservatives have constructed conservative pledges for federal, state, and local elected office candidates and incumbents. The website at www.TexasCPAC.org will announce new signatures on the pledges as they occur.
