Michael Monreal

Bio:

An executive with a leading construction and project management company in the state, Monreal believes that his 28-year military service, business background and conservative guiding principles make him uniquely qualified to represent the people of this district which stretches from the outskirts of San Antonio to the border with Mexico.

During his military service, Monreal commanded a Navy Seabee Battalion and Field Engineering Command and held shore duty tours in Europe, the Pacific and in the Continental U.S. His operational tours consisted of combat tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, and the South Pacific. He was decorated with the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, and numerous other awards.

Currently, Monreal is a Vice President and Regional Area Manager for a leading provider of facilities program management, consulting and planning services for the planning and development of construction projects. He is a registered Professional Civil Engineer, Acquisition Professional, Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist, and a Fellow in the Society of American Military Engineers.

Monreal is a lifelong Republican, lifetime member of the NRA, and a Fightin’ Texas Aggie, Class of 1991. He is a long-time mentor to several young engineers and engineering college students and has been Aggie Club President and Aggie Muster Chair for various Aggie Clubs worldwide. He and his wife, Stephanie, have been married for 32 years. They have four daughters, three sons-in-law, and three grandsons. Mike and Stephanie reside on their ranch in Floresville, Texas.
