Kelly McDonald

Bio:

Kelly McDonald is a native Texan, devoted mom, hard workingtaxpayer, active member of the Magnolia community, and a professional realtor.

A native Texan, Kelly hails from Quitman, a small town in East Texas. She attended Texas A & M University of Commerce and studied Marketing and Organizational Leadership. For the past 17 years, Kelly has been a realtor in the Magnolia and Woodlands area. Prior to her success in real estate, she worked in business development. Her background also includes international work experience in South Korea and London.

Helping her community has always been a priority. She is most proud of her work as a middle school and high school basketball and track coach and considers mentoring teenagers a great honor and responsibility. Kelly was a member of the 2014 Magnolia ISD Parent Leadership Committee, the 2015 Magnolia Facility Planning Committee, and has served as a twice-elected Magnolia ISD School Board Trustee for the past 5 years. In 2018 she was chosen as one of 33 Trustees (out of 7,200 in the State) to participate in the Texas Association of School Boards Leadership Program. She graduated earning the designation of Master Trustee.

Her public service work doesn’t end in the schools. Kelly is currently a Commissioner for the Montgomery County Housing Authority for Precinct 2. She works with other commissioners to oversee federal aid to provide safe housing for the elderly, our veterans, and people with disabilities. She is also a Board Member for the Greater Magnolia Parkway Chamber of Commerce and serves as Chair of the Government Affairs Council. Kelly is also a member of the Magnolia Rotary Club and serves as President this year.
