October 16, 2020 (Conroe, Texas USA) – Republican Texas State Senator Brandon Creighton from Texas Senate District 4, has signed the Texas Conservative Pledge put forward by Texans for True Conservatives.
The Texas state legislature version of Texas Conservative Pledge contains twenty-seven core conservative value in which candidates or elected officeholders commit to defending, sponsoring or co-sponsoring specific legislation in the next legislative session. Key issues in the pledge address key Texas conservative values that include ending property and franchise taxes, term limits, religious freedom, historical monument protection, healthcare and voter ID, among others.
“Texas State Senator Creighton has established himself as a true champion for Texas conservative values and his commitment to the Texas Conservative Pledge follows his rock-solid history in protecting Texas values. He is truly one of the very few statesman in Austin and his values align with ours.” stated Texas CPAC founder David Thomas Roberts.
Regarding his commitment to the Pledge, Senator Creighton remarked, “I’m pleased to join together with Texans For True Conservatives PAC to make sure that officeholders keep the promises they make to voters when first elected. I am committed to the people of Texas that I will keep my promises and work every day to advance conservative priorities, ensuring that Texas leads the entire nation toward freedom and prosperity— and remains the strongest backstop to the secular, socialist agenda being peddled by the left.”
The Texans for True Conservatives have constructed conservative pledges for federal, state, and local elected office candidates and incumbents. The website at www.TexasCPAC.org will announce new signatures on the pledges as they occur. Currently, pledges are being distributed to all federal and state officeholders and candidates for the November elections.
